What data we collect
We only collect the data you provide yourself. In practice, it comes from the forms on this website.
- Data from the contact and demo request forms: name, company, phone number, email address, the address of your current website and a free-form message.
- Information you give us by email or phone when you contact us directly.
We do not collect any other personal data on this website, and we do not buy data from third parties.
What the data is used for
We use the data to respond to your enquiry, to prepare the demo version and quote you request, and to manage the customer relationship if a contract is concluded. We do not use the data for profiling or for automated decision-making.
Legal basis for processing
The processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries we receive, and on the preparation and performance of a contract when you request a quote or order a website.
Disclosure of data and processors
Data is not sold or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. We use standard technical service providers, such as email and hosting services, which process data on our behalf under a contract and only to the extent required to provide the service.
Cookies and visitor analytics
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. To measure visitor numbers, we use the Fathom Analytics service and the Umami software running on our own server in Finland. Neither uses cookies, collects personal data or builds visitor profiles. Analytics only starts once you accept it in the cookie notice. Further details are in our cookie policy.
Retention period
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with the matter, but no longer than 24 months from the enquiry. Data relating to the customer relationship and invoicing is kept for the period required by law and then deleted.
Data security
The data is held in password-protected systems, and access is limited to the people who need the data for their work. Traffic to the website is encrypted.
Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data stored about you,
- request the rectification of inaccurate data,
- request the erasure of your data,
- object to the processing or request its restriction.
Send your request to eelis[at]ecosta.fi and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe we are processing your data unlawfully.
